On March 17, 2013 I played a solo Celer set at Cafe Oto in London. It was raining that day, but some people and friends still came out (thank you). For the show, I used two cassette tapes, two cassette walkmans, and a graphic equalizer. Each tape had a loop (or something) on the entire side, so I mixed the 4 sides somewhat blindly throughout the show, adjusting the eq and player speeds. I don't remember where the music on the tapes was from - though they were labeled 'flight on the desert' - in reference to making the music while watching Flight of the Phoenix on mute. Otherwise, there's no connection.
These are direct recordings (minus the tape start/stop noises replaces with fade ins/outs) from the source tapes. Only the first 3/4 are included, as the 4th was taped over by accident or carelessness. If you play these tracks on three separate stereos on repeat at varying volumes, it's close to what the show sounded like.
Thanks for your support. Please support independent artists by purchasing the music if you can.
